Zaaynab Le’Von

Zaaynab Le’Von is an up-and-coming writer from Houston, TX. She is a devoted wife, spoken word artist, aspiring jewelry designer & a graduate of Texas A&M University. Her desire is to write pieces centered on Islam that will be beneficial to Muslims & non-Muslims alike. She believes we were all created different so that we may get to know & understand each other so this sister would like to educate and elevate others through her words regardless of race, religion, or any other labels. Nadirah Angail
Nadirah Angail is a Kansas City-based journalist. In addition to YRAC, she manages two personal blogs and does freelance editing. She is an alum of the University of Missouri-Columbia and Drexel University, where she studied Communication, and Marriage and Family Therapy, respectively. She loves to spend time with her daughter and, on any given day, can be found singing and dancing for her to make her laugh.
She is a natural writer who addresses a variety of topics, but specializes in those that particularly affect women and girls. She loves to evoke deep feelings and thoughts with her words, and writes each piece in the hope of forming a genuine bond with each of her readers. Outside of writing, Nadirah loves green smoothies, reading, dancing, traveling, and spending time with good friends.
Tauheedah Shukriyyah
Tauheedah Shukriyyah Asad is a professional writer and public relations specialist. The Miami native is a honors graduate of the illustrious Florida A&M University School of Journalism and Graphic Communications, where she majored in public relations. The FAMU alum served as an essential staff member of three award-winning media outlets – The Famuan newspaper, Journey Magazine and 90.5 FM WANM-Tallahassee.
The Renaissance woman is also a trained dancer, radio personality and so much more. Her signature phrase is “Don’t put me in a box”
As a journalist, Tauheedah has interviewed countless influential figures including Essence Magazine’s Susan Taylor; pop-fashion icon, Fonzworth Bentley; best-selling author and Image-Award winning actor, Hill Harper and hip-hop phoneme, Lupe Fiasco. Khairiya Finesse
Khairiya Finesse is an entrepreneur from Raleigh, NC. She is a wife, mother, student, and new business owner. She currently owns an online hijab store as well as a support and resource group geared towards helping new sisters in Islam. She loves to inspire others through personal blogs, videos, and stories on various social sites such as Facebook and Youtube. She often expresses thoughts about life and how to overcome everyday obstacles and internal struggles. She aims to create positive perspectives and insight in her readers.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, keeping up with news and current events, reading, drawing, creative projects, teaching and playing with her son, and studying Islam. She hopes to one day open her own store and childcare center in her community. She strives to set a positive example and educate the general public about Islam and Muslims in hopes to bridge the gap between popular ignorance and enlightenment.
