About YRAC
YRAC is the Muslim community social network, started in December 2008, that seeks to serve the needs of a Progressive Islamic Experience. Composed of Muslim young adults, the YRAC platform is designed to close the gaps between vision and fruition, people and resources, individual endeavors and community life. In other words, this is the place to be if you want to connect to make it happen: handling the world with what God has placed in your palm. At YRAC, stagnation is the disease to healing, progress is our continual aim. We’re always moving forward; with arms outstretched to help one another. We are a family; recognizing that everyone has a significant role, and each puzzle piece must be present and in proper position for all to see and appreciate the full picture. What Does “You R A Creator” Mean?
It means you can be creative in your life that Allah “The Creator” has given you. You can create in this life by G-d’s will. Allah(swt) is the CREATOR but we must produce on this earth the dynamics in which we are inspired to. The name is a token to help motivate you at best.Take responsibility for your life and surroundings.
YRAC Is…
YRAC is a Community-based organization. Here we service the creative people and give them an outlet to solve societal problems. Our primary purpose is to serve the under-privileged Muslim community; this includes the social, political, educational and technologically advanced demographics. YRAC is on the cutting edge of bringing people together and bridging the gap within its own entity as well as other faith-based organizations. Our goal is to create an environment where each individual is empowered to aid in solving their own problems, gain support from those around them and continue to be at the fore-front of advancement.
YRAC was founded…
During the 2006 “Ramadan Session”, organized by Rahman Khan, 67 young adults gathered in a group to discuss our place in furthering the progress of our community. Many of us named different tasks that we would like to take on and complete. Due to the unfortunate dissipation of the original participants support we drove to continue to make the vision a success. The physical name YOU R A CREATOR developed from personal inspiration. IZZY then presented the concept of the community site to the coalition; after failed attempts from other group contributors, IZZY the Artist put both ideas together and YOU R A CREATOR social networking site was formed. From the past experience IZZY the Artist had from managing other community organizations and websites IZZY the Artist was nominated to create an”online community” where all could come together as a collective to ensure our future goals. This was the vision, clear and efficient: imagine all of us in one place, one location… and this all seemed possible by way of online communication. Though we have other community sites that we are all a part of, IZZY the Artist thought it would be best to have one place where we can know Every One will be.

We seek to continue to be an influence on other international entities. Our focus is on the American Muslim perspective. We seek to be a powerful player in all sects of the current media outlets. How YRAC will CHANGE the World
Our eternal goal is to change the paradigm between good and malicious intent and aid others in realizing that good can and does remain at the fore-front. We seek to do this by creating a new culture confirming that a healthy way of life is sustainable. Our mission is to change the way people live, encourage a faith-based lifestyle that is sustainable and understood as an outlet to be one with god, your talents and within your community. This reality can go along-side the institutional structure: work, play, education and politics, and can be profitable to your life.
